Colon Hydrotherapy

FAQ'S

  • How many sessions will I need?
When beginning Colon Hydrotherapy, a series of close together sessions is always recommended. The colon is 5 ft long and 1 ft can accumulate 10 pounds of waste! If you are on the more toxic side, you will need more sessions to alleviate your gut of the hard impacted waste. Most people do 3-5 sessions within a 2–3-week period when beginning their wellness journey.
  • How will I feel after my colonic?
Most people feel amazing after a colon hydrotherapy session. Some people come on their lunch breaks from work, or even come before going to the gym. When getting a colonic your body releases toxins at a rapid rate causing you to experience die off symptoms such as a headache, nausea, sweating or chills etc. If you prep correctly before your colonic, you are less likely to experience those symptoms.
  • How should I prep before my colonic?
No caffeine or dairy 24 hours before your appointment. Please come on an empty stomach (no food 2 hours before and no liquids 30 minutes before). The days leading up to your appointment try having as many fresh pressed juices or smoothies as you can. Up your water intake and enjoy foods with a high liquid content as well to assure things come out easier.
  • Do colonics hurt?
A colonic should never hurt. Generally, you may feel slight cramping or pressure from the breakdown of trapped gasses and impacted waste. After those are moved out you will feel relieved. As the waste is rehydrated it becomes easier to come out making it less uncomfortable.
  • Will my body become dependent on colonics?
It is impossible to become dependent on colonics. We use nothing but filtered water during our colon hydrotherapy sessions. In fact, colonics help strengthen the muscles in the colon wall. This will help the peristalsis movement and you will be able to have more bowel movements over time on your own after the matter is released.
  • Who should not get a colonic?
You are not a suitable candidate for colonics if any of the following medical conditions currently apply to you: had abdominal surgery within the last 6 months pregnant have late-stage kidney failure have an active ulcerative colitis flare up have colon cancer have intestinal perforations have abdominal hernia
  • What are the additives (implants) and what do they do during the colonic (probiotics, coffee, chlorphyll)?
Probiotic Implant After flushing out the bad bacteria during a colonic, probiotic implants directly introduce 225 billion species of good bacteria back into the gut. Probiotic implants can help with antibiotic use, candida/yeast overgrowth and skin conditions. Coffee Implant During the coffee implant, the caffeine gets absorbed into the bloodstream via the rectal veins and goes straight to the liver via the portal vein. This bypasses the digestive process and stimulates the production and flow of bile, by dilating the bile ducts. That then increases the production of glutathione in the liver by up to 700%. Glutathione is an antioxidant the liver creates which aids in detoxification. The liver also uses glutathione to bind free radicals which can leave the body quickly and safely. It also boosts immune function, mental clarity, energy levels. CLIENT PROVIDES COFFEE. Chlorophyll Implant The best way to describe chlorophyll is it is a detergent for the body. Chlorophyll helps deodorize and detoxify the body. It is similar to wheatgrass, but most clients find it much easier to retain. Chlorophyll can boost liver detoxification, cleanse and enrich the blood, as well as increase one's energy.
  • Is there any mess or smell?
None whatsoever. The closed colonic equipment that I used forms a sealed system that carries away all the waste cleanly and hygienically.
  • Can I have a colonic during my period?
Yes!!! In fact it can be a good time to receive a session since your body is already cleansing. Your menstrual flow will not interfere with the colonic. Many clients report reduced menstrual cramping and bloating often associated with menstrual cycles.
  • I'm pregnant. Can I still have a colonic?
No. Phlush DOES NOT treat pregnant women during any term of their pregnancy.
  • After a colonic, will I need to be close to a toilet all day?
No, usually clients release everything while they are in the suite as there is time to finish on the toilet before you leave. Of course, there can be exceptions to this, but most clients continue on with their scheduled day without urgency to eliminate.
  • What is Electro Lymphatic Therapy (ELT) Lymphatic Drainage
Research has shown that there is a strong relationship between the sluggish flow of the lymph and chronic illness. Inspiration (ELT equipment) is a high frequency neon/argon photon particle beam generator that restores the negative ion charge onto the surface of the cells, allowing the cells to move freely. The energy field created has the ability to flush pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, and yeast from the interstitial spaces. A beam of negatively charged ions is lightly applied to the surface of the skin, causing underlying congestion to break into tiny particles. The negatice ions attract them to the moving lymph fluids, where they are ushered out of the body.
  • How many ELT session will I require?
Initially one session is needed to jump start the flow of lymph. A lot depends on your symptoms and your level of toxicity.
  • What should I do to prepare before ELT treatment?
It helps to already be drinking at least 6 glasses of water spread throughout the day of or day prior to your appointment. Also eating healthy, exercising regularly and avoiding caffeine and alcohol; both of which dehydrate, and in turn clog the lymph network.
  • Will I notice improvement after an ELT session?
Most people notice an immediate improvement in their fluid retention, as well as the easing of tenderness and pain throughout the body. People consistently report that they have a sense of being relaxed, as well as feeling more balanced and alive.
  • What else can I do besides ELT session to keep my lymph flowing?
Colon Hydrotherapy combines well with ELT sessions. This is a process where your colon is hydrated so that accumulated wastes in the colon system are cleansed from your body, releasing toxins and poisons, that your body has had to fend off. The combination of ELT and colon hydrotherapy, immediately downloads your body, and takes the pressure of the immune system. Exercising, dry brushing and rebounding also aid in helping move lymph.
  • Can anyone get ELT?
Your therapist will ask if you have a pacemaker, any metal in your body or any Botox within the past 10 days. These areas will be avoided. Post-op surgeries benefit so much from this therapy, there is reduced swelling, bruising and pain just after one visit. Pregnant or nursing mothers are NOT able to get this therapy.
  • How soon after surgery can I get a post-op lymphatic massage/ELT?
It is recommended that patients who underwent surgeries like liposuctions, tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and breast explants get a post-op lymphatic massage immediately after surgery. I have people depending on their mobility, come in with their drains and bandages, and we are able to work around them. The timing is important to help with swelling and bruising, and discomfort, and help prevent fibrosis, and rippling. ELT is not painful. The therapist checks in with you often on the pressure applied with the wand. Results may vary with each individual.
